"I'm sure you are." "Elizabeth is my whole world. I don't know what I'd do if she didn't make it." explained Lucky.
"Elizabeth is a wonderful, strong person, I know she'll make it through." said Tony.
3 days went by and Elizabeth seemed to be getting worse and worse. Tony, the nurses and the other doctors didn't know what was wrong. Tony did test after test after test, but he still couldn't figure out what was happening to Elizabeth. He did every test that he could possibly think of and finally he found the answer. Lucky was sitting in a chair fast asleep beside Elizabeth's bed. He had convinced Audrey to go home and get some rest. Tony entered the room and tapped Lucky on the shoulder. Lucky sat up and looked to see who had tapped him.
"I've figured out what is wrong with Elizabeth." said Tony
"What is it, Tony?" asked Lucky.
"She has a rare disease called, Andilitis, it is an infection of the Kidney and causes severe pain and damage in the lower stomach and kidney area." explained Tony.
"Is there any cure?" asked Lucky.
"Well, yes there is.... the cure is a kidney transplant." "But there aren't many donors on our list." explained Tony.
"She can have one of my Kidneys." said Lucky.
"Are you sure?" asked Tony.
"Yes. I'm sure." "I'd do anything to save Elizabeth." replied Lucky.
"When do you need me?" asked Lucky.
"Now, if you're ready." said Tony.
So Lucky was admitted and he was given a room. The next day, the transplant took place. Both Lucky and Elizabeth were wheeled down into the Operating Room. Audrey was waiting outside the O.R. in the waiting room. Lucky's parents, Laura and Luke Spencer were waiting too. Everyone had distressed looks on their faces, wondering how everything was going.
Soon after it had seemed like forever, Tony came out of the O.R.
"Elizabeth and Lucky are fine." "The transplant was a success." explained Tony.
"Thank God" said Audrey. Everyone hugged each other and breathed a sigh of relief. Even Luke and Laura hugged each other, they were so happy that Elizabeth and Lucky were OK that they put there differences aside. They couldn't wait until they were out of recovery, so that they could see them.
Finally they were out of recovery. Just as they entered the room, Elizabeth began to wake up.
"Where am I?" asked Elizabeth, sounding very tired.
"You're in the hospital." explained Audrey.
"We're all so glad that you and Lucky are OK." said Laura.
"Lucky?" "Where is he" asked Elizabeth.
"He is in the bed beside you." Laura said. Lucky began to wake up.
"Elizabeth, you're awake" Lucky said sounding very tired.
"What happened to me?" asked Elizabeth.
"Do you remember when you came to tell me that you and Lucky were getting married?" asked Audrey.
"Yes I do" replied Elizabeth.
"Well, as we were hugging you began to clutch your stomach and then you collapsed onto the floor and wouldn't wake up." "It turns out you had Adilitis, a rare Kidney and stomach infection." "But you're all right now." explained Audrey.
And that is how Lucky saved Elizabeth again.. and she never knew it.
